When the Co-op took over the The Golden Ball, there was a strong emphasis on use of the building for community projects and with a lick of paint and gallery hanging system installed, the Garden Room was soon converted into an exhibition space for local artists.
If you would be interested in exhibiting your work at The Golden Ball, get in touch to discuss your ideas or see what themed shows are coming up.

Past Golden Ball Exhibitions
The Open Art Surgery Collective, a local arts group were the first to use the space with a themed exhibition ‘My Place in Space’ featuring the work of local artists and art enthusiasts. Follow Open Art York on Twitter. The collective book the space on a regular basis for exhibitions which are always well received.
We love to support our local artists and have stained glass works of Tracey Knowles in most of the windows around the pub. Nell’s felt birds decorate the Garden Room’s bay window and snug, as well as Maddy’s new Heart of Heather crafts and creations.
